Carlos's New Job

Carlos started his new job two weeks ago and he loves it. He works at a small company in the city centre. His office is on the fifth floor and has big windows.

Every morning, Carlos arrives at nine o'clock. He checks his emails and has a meeting with his team at ten. He has already learned everyone's name — that was his first goal.

His boss is called Maria. She is strict but fair. She has already given Carlos three important tasks. Carlos has finished two of them.

At lunchtime, Carlos eats with his new colleagues. He has already found a favourite sandwich shop near the office.

"Have you settled in?" asks his friend. "Yes, I have," Carlos says with a smile. "It's hard work, but I really enjoy it."
