Reported speech avanzado
"She admitted having made a mistake." / "He denied stealing the documents." / "They asked whether the meeting had been rescheduled." — El reported speech avanzado usa verbos de reporte específicos con gerundios, infinitivos y "whether".
Al terminar esta lección podrás:

"Admit/deny/avoid/suggest" → gerundio: "He denied stealing." "Promise/agree/refuse/offer/decide" → infinitivo: "She refused to answer." "Remind/warn/advise/tell + objeto" → infinitivo: "He warned me not to go." Memorizar estos patrones es clave para el B2.

"She asked whether the report had been sent." / "He wanted to know if I was coming." "Whether" es más formal que "if" en preguntas indirectas. Siempre: sujeto + verbo (orden afirmativo, no de pregunta).

Directa: "Where did you go?" → Indirecta: "He asked where I had gone." ✓

En preguntas indirectas: SIEMPRE sujeto + verbo, nunca auxiliar + sujeto.
Informe de la reunión
At the meeting, Jerry admitted having missed the deadline. He denied knowing about the problem beforehand.
En la reunión, Jerry admitió haber incumplido el plazo. Negó haber sabido del problema con antelación.

He offered to work over the weekend. He also suggested rescheduling the client call. The client asked whether we could guarantee delivery by the end of the month.
